Relaxation.

Where did the summer go?  Holy crap!!

Lake DeSmet in Wyoming or July 3rd, 2011, enjoying boating and fireworks on the Lake.

For the first time ALL SUMMER, we actually have not just one but TWO weekends where we have no commitments!!  With one of those weekends being Labor Day, we are taking off a few extra days and sneaking away just us two!  Nobody expecting us to do this, or wanting help with that...nobody to disappoint!  These last two weeks have been nothing but stressful, frustrating and exhausting with no time to even stop for a breather, so the next 2 weekends will be WONDERFUL and well deserved!  I can't wait!

I don't care what we do, but I do plan on doing a lot of this...

Tinkerbell....also know as Cowbell!  She's such a big cuddly sassy lump of fur!

I have such a hard time relaxing when I have unfinished projects or a house that's less than spotless.  There were 5 projects in my garage near completion for the last week  and it was making me crazy!  Fortunately we finally had some spare time this afternoon to run to Lowe's and pick up the supplies we needed to finish..it literally took 10 minutes once we had the supplies, and now I have 5 items to sell at the LAB (Local Artist's Boutique) at TRENDZ.  We are excited to see where this goes!

I wish I knew how to make the right side into a frame...hmmmm.

A cute place to hang your coat, your keys, jewelry...aprons?

Coat rack...I love this!

We just needed to add the hanging hardware today, and once we get them cleaned up and they are ready for TRENDZ.  :)  It's bittersweet to part with the projects you put so much love into, but I'm sure they will find nice homes...with nice people who dust them often  :)

As much as it makes me crazy to have unfinished projects, it is relaxing to actually work on them.  You don't have to think about anything, there's no wrong way to paint or decorate and it's a nice stress reliever.  I can have an absolutely awful day, but if I sit down at my sewing machine or pick up a paint brush it all seems to go away.  I know for some people, the thought of home projects are anything but relaxing!  That's how I feel about golf  :)

How do you relax?

Noelle

  1. You didn't put the window on here that you made for me! I hope to get it hung today when I'm kidless. Love you!
